"He was a good dog, I have enjoyed his company."
Charon to John Wick

The Unnamed dog is a pit bull adopted by John Wick after he entered an animal shelter to heal his wounds from his fight with Viggo Tarasov. This is John's second pet dog after Daisy.

Unlike Sofia, Wick doesn't let the dog into combat nor trains it to fight. The dog doesn't have a name and is only referred to as "Boy" or "Dog".

History[]

John Wick[]

After John Wick killed Viggo Tarasov, John stumbled onto a veterinarian center and found a pit bull scheduled to be euthanized (for unknown reasons). Pitying the dog, John took the dog as his new companion.

John Wick: Chapter 2[]

The dog was seen inside John's home, being his support animal. One night, Santino D'Antonio visits John and asked him regarding what is the name of the dog. John then replies with a no that the dog clearly has no name. After the destruction of John's home, he was accompanied by his dog going to the New York Continental. He then ask a favor to Charon to watch him as he meets Winston. After meeting Winston, John then returns to the reception and Charon then tells John that he is willing to take responsibility of taking care of the dog while he is away inside the hotel. Moments after Santino's death inside the hotel, John takes his dog out, with Charon telling him that he is a good dog while John's away. The dog is always seen at John's side from returning to his burned house until his declared ''excommunicado''.

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum[]

While the remaining time before his excommunication, John is seen riding a taxi with the dog. After a long wait due to the traffic, John then pays the taxi cab driver with a coin to ask him a favor to send his dog to safety to the Continental Hotel. He then left his dog in the cab and continues to run. Throughout the film's events, the dog is only seen within the hotel until he detects his owner and runs to John where he falls, after being shot by Winston. The dog then accompanied John, with him brought by Tick Tock Man to the Bowery King.

John Wick: Chapter 4[]

When the Bowery King entered his underground lair to prepare John for war against the High Table, the dog was with him.

After John was ostensibly mortally wounded by Caine, the dog was taken in by the Bowery King as his new owner. The dog attended John's funeral alongside his new owner and Winston Scott.

Relationships[]

Bowery King[]

The Bowery King became the dog's new owner after John died from his wounds following his duel with Caine in Chapter 4.

John Wick[]

John Wick was the dog's former owner. He did not give this dog a name, probably not to become emotionally attached as he did with Daisy. Despite this, they seem to have a good relationship as the dog was seen following him and licking his face repeatedly in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum.

Unlike Sofia Al-Azwar, who trained both her dogs to fight, the dog wasn't trained by John for combat. John tended to leave the dog in the New York Continental when he's off to fight. The dog was basic trained, as he can sit and stay by John's commands.
