Pavel (Russian: Павел) was a Russian mobster and one of the henchmen of Viggo Tarasov, former leader of the Tarasov Mob in New York City. He also served as an assistant to his chief of security, Kirill.
Biography[]
John Wick[]
As Viggo Tarasov discovered his cache of money and paraphernalia materials were destroyed by a fire set by John Wick at a church that served as his front upon a confession of an Orthodox priest, Pavel accompanied him in front of the priest alongside Kirill and several other thugs. However, John ambushed them and after failing to shoot him, Pavel covered Kirill while he drove a car and knocked the hitman out cold.
Pavel was later ordered to protect Viggo alongside Kirill, and then the crime lord confronted John and mocked the former assassin for leaving his old life behind. He and Kirill attempted to torture and kill John by trying to suffocate him with a plastic bag. However, Pavel was killed by John's ally Marcus, who had observed the situation with a sniper rifle, allowing John to fight and kill Kirill before escaping.

- Although he was killed, Pavel was one of the few Viggo's henchmen who did not die at John's hands.
