Lonnie Rashid Lynn, better known as Common is an American actor, rapper, and writer. He portrays Cassian in John Wick: Chapter 2.
Common was born on March 13, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois to Mahlia Ann Hines and Lonnie Lynn. He began his career as a rapper in the late 80s in a trio known as C.D.R. along with two friends. He started a solo career in 1991 after the disbandment of C.D.R. and went under the stage name Common Sense. He signed with MCA Records in 1999 and in 2004 he signed with GOOD Music. In 2018, he formed a jazz group called August Greene.
He starred as Elam Ferguson from 2011 to 2014 on the AMC western TV series Hell on Wheels.
His other notable acting works include Suicide Squad, Terminator Salvation, Date Night, Just Wright, Now You See Me, Wanted, Street Kings, Happy Feet Two, New Year's Eve, Run All Night , Barbershop: The Next Cut and more.
