John Wick: Chapter 4[]

John Wick in Berlin
After hearing from Winston that he could regain his freedom and be free from all obligations to the High Table through a duel with the Marquis Vincent Bisset de Gramont, John Wick travelled to Berlin and reached the headquarters of the Ruska Roma, knowing he needed to regain his status within the syndicate in order to formally challenge the Marquis to a duel. Once he arrived there, John requested to speak to his foster father and leader of the Ruska Roman, Pyotr, only to be shot and knocked unconscious. Meanwhile, Mr. Nobody as well, arrived at Berlin knowing the location where John is. He then contacted the Marquis de Gramont to informed him that he found John Wick. After receiving the information, Vincent twisted his arrangement such that instead of identifying his whereabouts, the Tracker must kill John, despite the fact that this is not part of their agreement.
Upon regaining consciousness, John found himself with a rope around his neck and surrounded by the Ruska Roma, who had faces filled with displeasure and contempt, particularly Pyotr's daughter and John's surrogate sister, Katia. Katia reminded John that they abided by the rules of the Table and that he had been exiled from his clan following his excommunication; therefore, he could no longer seek them for any kind of support. When John gasped through the rope that it was up to Pyotr to make such decision, Katia revealed that Pyotr was murdered under the orders of the Marquis as revenge for John's murder of the Elder and even if John could kill the Marquis, the Table would just send another to replace him before ordering for the rope to be tightened. Before he could die via hanging, John mentioned the chance of defeating the Marquis, which would shake the whole structure of the Table, by killing him in a duel. Intrigued by this information, which was confirmed by the priest, Katia freed John and tasked him with eliminating Pyotr's murderer, Killa Harkan, the head of the German branch of the High Table and owner of a nightclub known as Himmel und Hölle, in order to return to the Ruska Roma. Through Ruska Roma member Klaus, John was taken to Killa's nightclub.
Upon arriving, Killa welcomed him and insisted that he had anticipated his arrival. To John's shock, his old friend, Caine, and bounty hunter Mr. Nobody had also predicted that he was planning to rejoin his old family and tracked him to Berlin. When Caine, Killa, and Mr. Nobody proved to have their reasons to kill John, Killa suggested playing a poker game to decide who would have the honor to execute John, during which Killa ended up cheating. The German mob boss had the audacity to provoke John over his murder of Pyotr, causing John to start a riot with Killa and his henchmen, with Caine and Mr. Nobody joining the madness. Though John had difficulty taking on Killa as a result of his impressive combat skills in spite of his weight, John ultimately dispatched all of KIlla's men and the mob boss himself sustained a fatal fall, allowing John to remove one of the golden teeth of the crime boss as proof of his demise. Outside the club, Mr. Nobody tried to execute John with a sniper and certainly would have taken the shot had Caine not threatened him with his blade. Caine reminded Nobody that he had warned him against allying himself with the Marquis. Nobody asked Caine if the loss of his eyesight was the price he paid as a result of his association with the Marquis and the rest of the High Table and Caine denied such thing, insisting it was him who gave his eyes to the all-powerful organization to finally retire and be with his daughter, Mia.
Upon presenting to Katia and the other Ruska Roman Killa's gold tooth, John was branded with the syndicate's crest, marking his return to his family and allowing him to formally challenge the Marquis to a duel, which was delivered by Winston as his second supporter.
